The reviews from patrons tell the true story of Port Side's charm. Bryan Blevins calls it his "favorite, lowkey breakfast spot," praising the breakfast burrito and delicious coffee drinks. The attention to detail from the chef-owner is a recurring theme in reviews, with many guests noting how he goes above and beyond to ensure satisfaction.
One highlight is the culinary artistry behind the Duke breakfast sandwich, as described by Gray Zabel and Michael Enright. With its ultrafluffy soufflé egg, sweet pickles, and arugula, each ingredient works harmoniously, delivering a vibrant taste that lingers long after the last bite. As Enright notes, it’s a "three napkin" kind of meal—indicative of its heartiness and flavor profile.

It is this blend of great flavors, inviting staff, and community feel that truly sets Port Side apart.

“ My favorite, lowkey breakfast spot in all of them.R I n o area. It should be on everyones list, breakfast burrito, delicious. The breakfast sandwich Everything there, wonderful coffee drinks.Of all sorts... ”
“ My girlfriend and I randomly came here in order to find a place to have breakfast and coffee. We were immediately treated to a great aroma and an even better atmosphere. We are traveling from out of town but the staff immediately made us feel like we were regulars. The food was incredibly tasteful and the chefowner went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our meals and even gave us more recommendations on our day trip to Colorado Springs. I highly recommend this establishment. ”
“ I ordered the Duke breakfast sandwich the first time I came here, and Ive never ordered everything else. Pulled pork, ultrafluffy souffled egg, sweet pickles, arugula...there are so many bright flavors that blend together so well. Im getting hungry writing this ”
“ Today was my first time at Port Side. It will not be the last. I had the special, The Duke breakfast sandwich. Egg with pulled pork, cheese and arugula. It took three napkins to eat the sandwich. Which is a hit for me. Loved the sandwich. The joint and staff are inviting and they treated me like a customer. If you are interested in a breakfast sandwich, put this place on your list to go to. ”
“ Great food and coffee, friendly staff, promot service and nice environment. Good vegan options on the menu! Wish I lived closer Id be there every morning for coffee! ”
“ Very cool spot in a shopping container. Staff was extremely friendly. The vegan burrito was good and had a little spicy kick to it. We ordered drip coffee, a cortado, and an iced coffee with cream and sugar. Will definitely come back to this place. They even have outdoor seating, where dogs are welcome. ”
“ We make it a point on vacation to choose small businesses to give back to the community in which we visit. This was a great choice. The whole experience will forever stay with us. If you are vegan, I highly recommend the vegan burrito. It was to die for. The chef came to talk. The barista was very thoughtful and make amazing drinks. This is why, we choose small businesses. You will never get that top notch, extra thought experience. This place and its employees truly got it. We are very thankful we got to experience it. ”
“ If youre looking for a cozy, classic cafe that knows how to make an espresso drink and delicious small dishes, this is your place and certainly is mine. First, I dont know how long its on the menu, but The Duke sandwich will blow your mind and taste buds! GO GET ONE OF THESE BEFORE THEY ARE GONE! Its a pulled pork sandwich that has obviously marinated in a spectacular season palette to the point where the meat actually melts in your mouth. The pickles on this thing are a perfect match along with a small pile of fresh baby kale. I ordered it on a whim and, wow, I cant imagine why there wasnt a line out of the front door just for this sandwich, Im not joking. Go get one...right now. The barrista who was making our espresso drinks did so with artisan skills and it was exceptionally made. So the location, its almost the size of an extra large walk in closet and seating inside is for only about 25 people, and that would be tight. There is more seating outside on the front patio and of course gettingsomething to go is an option. We went here on a Wednesday morning for breakfast but ended up getting there closer to 1030 and there were only 4 other patrons there so we had a great experience. I hope this place is doing well because I would like to know that a niche coffee shop can still survive for long in this day and age. If they advertise The Duke sandwich and keep it consistent, Im sure this would become a national chain, LOL!...no, seriously. Go Get One This Minute! ”
